How to Support this Site

Publishing a travel Web site isn't easy - and it's not free. This network of Web sites is a not-for-profit effort designed to bring cutting-edge and consumer-focused journalism to the Web. We need your help.

Why become a supporter? Because without you this site will fail and you'll have to get your travel news from a publication owned by a soulless corporation. No more fresh insights. No more controversy. Just 100 percent happy news all the time. Is that what you really want?

How often do you raise money? Our regular pledge period happens in May and October - and sometimes when the money's really tight we post an occasional reminder that we need your support. We try to be as unintrusive as possible, but we know that if we're too unintrusive, we'll close down.

I understand the listing on the site and newsletter benefits, but what's the premium? We often give away a useful book or travel-related product as a premium. Here are the most recent premiums.

How do I sign up?

1) By check. Make your donations payable to Christopher Elliott, 19 Oceana Drive, Key Largo, FL, 33037.

2) Use a major credit card through PayPal.

3) Through the Amazon Honor System (limited to Associate to Underwriter level).

PLEASE NOTE: All donations are considered anonymous and aren't eligible for a premium unless you send an e-mail or letter with your name, mailing address, and transaction number to us. (The folks who handle credit card transactions for us are sticklers for privacy.)
